There is no single target to meet
A fulfilling intimate life does not require a fixed frequency. What matters is whether your experience feels comfortable to you, and whether you and your partner can speak about it without pressure. A change is worth paying attention to when it concerns you.
Look beyond a single explanation
The NHS lists stress, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, some medicines, excess alcohol and several long-term health conditions among possible reasons for low libido. Different factors may overlap. Avoid assuming that a change automatically means low testosterone or a lack of attraction.
Notice patterns without judging them
You might find it useful to think about when the change began, whether it happens in particular situations, and whether anything else changed at the same time. These observations can help you describe the problem clearly; they are not a way to diagnose yourself.
Talk before making changes
If you suspect a medicine is affecting your sex drive, speak to your prescriber. Do not stop or change a prescribed medicine yourself. A GP can help investigate the cause and discuss suitable options, rather than treating every change in desire as the same problem.
Keep choice and connection at the centre
You can make time together without making sex the required outcome. A conversation, affection or a shared evening can be valuable in its own right. Supplements are optional; they should never become an expectation or a test of commitment.
When to get help
Arrange a GP appointment if your low sex drive worries you, or if you think a medicine may be involved. You do not need to wait until things feel severe to ask a question. The right next step depends on the cause, not on a product label.
Your wellbeing comes first. This is general information, not personal medical advice. Follow your product label and consult a healthcare professional about symptoms, medicines or suitability.
